Moringa and Swollen Goiter

Hello fellow Moringians. My name Is Victoria M. I have been a fan and user of Moringa Oleifera since late February of this year. In just the short time that I have been using it, it has been amazing, absolutely amazing. Just a little history on me. I have had a swollen goiter for over 10 years. For those that don’t know what a goiter is, it is the butterfly shaped gland on either side of your windpipe.

Every year it seemed to get bigger so I am required to get an ultrasound to make sure it does not close off my windpipe and it’s not cancerous. It had already pushed my esophagus over almost two inches. The doctor (my endocrine doctor) said, “As long as I can swallow and breathe, they will not bother to remove it”. If I remove it, I’ll have to take Thyroid medication for the rest of my life.

Well, on Saturday March 12, I had just gotten out of the shower, and noticed something different about my neck and face area. I discovered that the goiter was half the size it use to be. I called to my husband to come look. He immediately noticed that it was smaller as well; especially from the side view. We both gave praise to GOD. Ten years guys; I always have had faith that it would change. GOD brought Moringia into our lives. It’s called the miracle tree. GOD is the miracle worker and GOD gave us the tree. It continued to reduce in size as well as my weight loss.

My regimen for Moringa is:

·         1 capsule twice a day

·         1 shelled seed, three times a day

·         Tea throughout the day

·         ½ teaspoon of Moringa powder in a smoothie once a week (my personal favorite is the Hibiscus Tea)



I have no doubt that GOD has brought this to us through Linda and her friend Fabian. I am so grateful that I have my entire family using it. I will post before and after pictures of the goiter. Until next time guys, keep on Moring-ing.

Hibiscus tea and the benefits of moringa

Zanzibar Tea is a blend of Hibiscus, Moringa and cinnamon.  When sipping and enjoying brewed herbal tea the body can assimilate all the nutrients in a gentle and an easy to digest method.  Hibiscus tea brewed alone is delicious and has significant benefits as well and are listed below.  

I have discovered a palatable form of taking Moringa powder in a large enough amount to impact on our body systems overall: Rather than blending the Moringa powder with your favorite fruits and vegetable and using the entire smoothie as a meal replacement you can have the option of a smaller version that I have nicknamed 'a smoothette' using a small bullet type blender. Use 1/2 sliced banana, 6 oz. ready made hibiscus tea, add 1 heaping tsp. of Moringa powder and top with a bunch of spinach leaves. The results are a delicious 8 oz. drink and can accompany your breakfast, lunch or dinner. The challenge was to find fruits, juices and vegetables in a small quantity that would create a mellow and satisfying drink successfully.  Yea !  

A gradual increase as tolerated by the needs of your body would create a foundation of nutrients that will address every body system and organs effectively.  Some changes are noted immediately and others are noted when realize you are generally healthier, limber, mentally more acute and enjoying your life ! 

Hibiscus tea is an herbal tea made as an infusion from crimson or deep magenta-coloured flowers of the Hibiscus plant.  Moringa Zanzibar tea is a delicious and refreshing product that is compatible with hibiscus and cinnamon. 

Hibiscus flowers contain anthocyanins which are believed to be an active anti hypertensive.

Drinking hibiscus tea may lower blood pressure in people with type 2 diabetes, prehypertension, or mild hypertension.

Hibiscus is used for treating loss of appetite, colds, heart and nerve diseases, upper respiratory tract pain and swelling (inflammation), fluid retention, stomach irritation, and disorders of circulation; for dissolving phlegm; as a gentle laxative; and as a diuretic to increase urine output.

In foods and beverages, hibiscus is used as a flavoring. It is also used to improve the odor, flavor, or appearance of tea mixtures.

How does it work?

The fruit acids in hibiscus may work like a laxative. Some researchers think that other chemicals in hibiscus might be able to lower blood pressure; decrease spasms in the stomach, intestines, and uterus; and works like antibiotics to kill bacteria and worms.

  • As a way to help keep them cool in the desert environment in which they lived – Consumed by ancient Egyptians, and still a practice today as the tea is used as a 'refrigerant' to help maintain healthy body temperatures.
  • To promote cardiac and nervous system health – A preparation from the red calyces is used traditionally in Egypt.
  • As a traditional aid for occasional nervous restlessness and occasional difficulty sleeping
  • Supporting your blood pressure within the normal range
  • Promoting your cholesterol levels within their normal ranges
  • Helping you better manage weight control challenges
